Why This Matters

A business's digital infrastructure is invisible on a balance sheet.

Websites, platforms, enquiry systems, data structures, and hosting environments quietly determine whether an acquisition becomes profitable — or problematic. Yet most due diligence processes treat digital assets as an afterthought.

Hidden technical debt, weak enquiry systems, outdated plugins, poor architecture, or security exposure can reduce long-term value significantly — and become your liability the moment ownership transfers.

Our Digital Asset Due Diligence gives you a clear, independent assessment of the digital reality — before you sign anything.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a standard website audit?
A standard website audit reviews performance and structure. Digital Asset Due Diligence goes further — it evaluates the business's digital infrastructure through the lens of acquisition risk. We are asking: what is the buyer inheriting, what will it cost to fix, and what are the ongoing risks? The output is designed for decision-making, not just optimisation.
What access is required to conduct the assessment?
We begin with a non-intrusive external assessment that requires no access. For a full due diligence engagement, we typically require temporary read-only access to the CMS admin panel, hosting environment, and analytics. All access requirements are confirmed and agreed before work begins.
How long does the assessment take?
A standard Digital Asset Due Diligence engagement typically takes 5–10 business days from access being provided to final report delivery. Larger or more complex digital estates may require additional time, confirmed during the initial consultation.
Is the report confidential?
Yes. All findings are strictly confidential and prepared exclusively for the commissioning party. We do not share, publish, or reference client assessments. Confidentiality terms are included in every engagement agreement.
Can you also implement the fixes identified?
Yes. If the assessment identifies issues you want resolved post-acquisition, we offer implementation services through our Website Engineering and Risk Reduction & Hardening engagements. The due diligence report serves as the brief — so there is no duplication of effort.
